We are thrilled to announce that we will honor the family of Bob and Maureen Habel with the Heart of the City Award, a special recognition to pay tribute to non-medical professionals who have made outstanding contributions to the community. Bob and Maureen lived on the same street and met in kindergarten in South Fairmount during the Great Depression. Bob became a successful architect while Maureen raised their seven kids who became leaders in our community. Bob and Maureen’s 7 kids, 22 grandkids, 15 great grandkids, plus many spouses, have gathered for Sunday dinner at Grandma’s house every week for decades. Bob turns 92 in November and is the center of the family. He had emergency heart bypass surgery at 59 and survived a stroke at 87. But for AHA-funded heart and stroke research, Bob and his family never would have made so many amazing memories and so much impact in Cincinnati. The family graciously appreciates your support!
