Barbara joined Ohio National in 1997 and became executive vice president and chief administrative officer in January 2016. Barbara served as the annuities strategic business unit head in 2015. Prior to 2015, she was the president and chief executive officer of The O.N. Equity Sales Company (ONESCO) and O.N. Investment Management Company (ONIMCO) and senior vice president, chief compliance officer of Ohio National Financial Services.
Barbara has more than 39 years of experience in the financial services industry and attended the University of Cincinnati. She is a graduate of the SIFMA/Wharton Securities Industry Institute.
Industry, business and civic involvement
Barbara is a member of the following organizations: Cincinnati Women’s Executive Forum board of trustees and program committee; Go Red for Women chairperson and Circle of Red member; Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park board of trustees; Women’s Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation leadership council; Greater Cincinnati American Red Cross board of trustees and leadership development committee; and Cincinnati Regional Business Committee board of trustees and education committee; Northern Kentucky University Foundation board of trustees and finance committee; United Way of Greater Cincinnati Women of Tocqueville; and Artswave Women's Leadership Roundtable. Barbara is a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati Class XL and a former board member of the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati.
Barbara also serves on the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) annuities committee and securities regulation committee and LIMRA's Women's Executive study group. She previously served as chairperson of LIMRA's broker dealer services committee and as a member of FINRA's District 8 committee as well as a FINRA arbitrator, arbitrator chairperson and disciplinary hearing panelist.
Awards and recognition
Barbara was named one of the Top 50 Women in Wealth Management by Wealth Manager in 2009. In 2006, she was named a YWCA of Greater Cincinnati Career Women of Achievement.
